The Namibia Training Authority (NTA), through WorldSkills Namibia (WSN), will host the 4th National Skills Competition (NSCS2025) from 22 to 27 September 2025 at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund. As part of NTA’s strategic mandate to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the event will bring together 165 competitors across 16 skill areas, supported by experts and representatives from approximately 50 training institutions, industry bodies, and correctional services from both public and private sectors.

The competitors were selected through a nationwide selection competition held from 23 to 24 May 2025 across 12 of Namibia’s 14 regions, ensuring broad regional representation and inclusivity. NSCS2025 provides a platform for young, skilled Namibians to demonstrate their talents, benchmark their competencies, and foster a culture of excellence and national pride in vocational skills.

Aligned with Namibia’s broader TVET objectives, the competition promotes demand-driven skills development for enhanced employability, productivity, and innovation. It also strengthens collaboration among training institutions, industry stakeholders, and the government, driving knowledge exchange and partnership.

“As a proud member of WorldSkills Africa (WSA) and WorldSkills International (WSI), Namibia leverages global best practices to prepare its youth for regional and international competitiveness. Winners of the NSCS2025 will represent Namibia on continental and global stages, contributing to Africa’s shared goal of youth empowerment and sustainable development through skills.” says Katherine Newaka, TVET Advocacy Specialist at the Namibia Training Authority.
